We all know (and most of us are probably obsessed with) Zendaya. The actress, singer, dancer is known as a triple threat in Hollywood (seriously she’s great in all three departments) but she goes so beyond that. Aside from being cast as Mary-Jane in the upcoming Spider-Man movie (probably her biggest acting gig yet, not to mention recreating the character as a person of color) the Disney star is an influential young woman who always uses her voice for good to speak on issues of race and equality, which we love her for. The other thing to love about the twenty-year-old Covergirl is the looks she gives not just on the red carpet, but everyday, seriously her street style is the cutest. Now she’s bringing those looks to us, and our girl made sure that she has everyone covered with her new line Daya By Zendaya.

Zendaya got entrepreneurial on us and dropped a shoe line under the same name with the cutest of heels a little while ago in August, (and is also working on a lifestyle app) but recently advanced and added clothes to her line with the help of her stylist Law Roach (who is the reason behind all those amazing red carpet looks). The best part about the clothing line, is it’s inclusiveness. It’s literally made for everyone.

Despite being sized for women, there are no labels on the clothes and everything is gender-neutral. Labels shouldn’t restrict people, just because something says male or female shouldn’t stop anyone from wearing what they are comfortable in.

Another thing to be noted, most designer closing lines don’t go past a size 10, but you’ll find that her clothes range from size 0-22. Not everyone is built the same, so Daya By Zendaya gets everything tall, small, thick, and skinny. You can see this when you go through the website and all the thick and skinny girls are shown side by side, there is no “plus-size” section, you go through to find what you like and choose your size. So it’s clear Zendaya doesn’t just talk about diversity, she’s showing us that she actually stands behind it.

It’s hard to decide what the best part is, but it could possibly be the price. As a college student, we all know we gotta try to hold on to every last dollar, but everything is under $160. Sure, it’s a little bit pricier than Forever 21 or H&M, but keep in mind that this is a celebrity clothing line and the quality of the clothes is good. When there’s people out there trying to sell things for hundreds (yes, plural, like multiple hundreds) it’s not too bad, not to mention the clothes are designer.

When asked about her line, she’s said over and over again that she just wants people to be comfortable, and you gotta admire that.

The star proves just how amazing she is and I’m excited to see not just her clothing line flourish, but her career as a whole. She’s doing big things, and I’m excited to watch her grow.
