Why We Will Miss the Obama Family

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

The election is officially over and I’m sure we can all agree that it has been a crazy journey. From e-mail scandals to plagiarized speeches, this election has changed the way we view American politics. However, regardless of party association, this election has sparked a fire and passion for change in all of us. History was made as we saw a woman secure the Democratic nomination and an outsider rally together a silent majority. With this being said, now that the election is over, it means that the Obama family has to go, which is sad for many reasons. Here are several reasons why we will miss the Obama family.

Not only do Malia and Sasha have killer style but they also are smart, hardworking young women. This past summer, Sasha got a summer job at Nancy’s Restaurant in Oak Bluff, Massachusetts. Her sister Malia also got accepted into Harvard University and will attend after taking a gap year. In June, both girls accompanied their mother to Morocco to promote education among girls.

The Legacy
