How to…With Sass: How to Have the Best Thanksgiving Break Ever!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

About this time every year everyone starts to get a little grouchy. With finals around the corner and papers piling up, all we want to do is get out of here. Thanksgiving break has come at the perfect time, so pack your bags and empty your bellies, because Thanksgiving break has arrived. Time to eat, drink, and retail therapy your sorrows away.

•Black out on Black out Wednesday. This is the biggest bar night of the year. It even surpasses New Year’s Eve. Grab your friends from high school and get out of your parent’s basement, it’s time to mack, yack, and black out Wednesday.

•Sweat out last night’s consumed alcohol and run in your local 5k Turkey Trot Thursday morning. This is your last chance to shed the pounds before consuming your own weight during the Thanksgiving feast.

•Play flag football with your family. This is your chance to take out all your pent up anger on the cousin you’ve never really liked.

•Do consume your own body weight on Thanksgiving Day. This is the one time of the year where no one will judge you for going for seconds, thirds, and fourths. Go big or go home.

•Wake up early Friday morning and hit the terrific Black Friday sales. Get there early with coupons in hand, because remember: the early bird catches the sales (not the worm).
