Her Campus: Hey Dallas, our newest Campus Cutie! How is your year going so far?

Dallas Bell: My year is going well; it is looking up because sweater weather is on the move. I’m super pumped!

HC: I love this weather; it is so easy to look nice. If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would It be?

DB: Southern-bell, crazier than heck, and modest.

HC: I’m not sure if that is three words… Oh well, we will go with it ha-ha. Can you tell me a little bit about what you’re involved in here at DePauw?

DB: Here on campus I am involved in the men’s Varsity Swim Team, I’m on the social committee for Beta Theta Pi Fraternity (which I’m also a member of), I am Vice President of programming for Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity, a member of The DePauw Republicans, and a Christian Interfaith Intern.

HC: Oh wow, you are so involved! But what really stood out was the medical fraternity! So are you pre-med?

DB: Yes, I am a Biochemistry major with a Piano minor and a pre-medical focus.

HC: That is a handful. Wow, good for you! I know it’s a little early to start thinking about this, but what are you plans after graduation?

DB: It’s never to early to think about the future (laughs). God willingly, hopefully medical school. I plan to specialize in Ophthalmology (surgeon of the eye). I feel as though God has blessed me with these gifts; so my way of using them would be to give back to his people through charitable actions such as pro-bono work, maybe here in the United States.

HC: That is so admirable. So I have to ask, single or taken?

DB: Single as heck, so ladies hit me up.

HC: Oh, you hear that ladies? Smart and single. Since that’s the case, what do you look for in a girl?

DB: Well just to list a few: she has to be able to hold an intellectual conversation, has her life together, independent, sweet, athletic, preppy… Basically a good God fairin’ girl who will go out and hang hard on Saturday night, and then go to church with me on Sunday morning!

HC: I hope you’re taking notes ladies. So tell me Dallas, what is your guilty pleaser?

DB: Gossip girl… (laughs)

HC: No way?! Do you have a favorite character?

DB: Definitely Blair Waldorf, she’s my golden gazelle. She is the epitome of what I want. She likes to go out and have fun, she is driven, beautiful, and preppy. Everything I want.

HC: I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you have a crush. Well ladies, if you’re lucky you might catch this gentleman around campus and maybe even find your Chuck Bass.
Indiana born and raised. A caffeine-dependent life form. Chaco advocate. World traveler. Making history in the cat lady category. XOXO your future doctor.
