Looking dapper in his blue sweater button-up, Ben’s smile capture’s the attention of everyone who is graced with his presence.  Always warm-hearted and hilarious, Ben Hazen fills us in on why he is this week’s campus cutie.

Her Campus: Why did you decide to become an RA?

Ben Hazen: I thought it would be a good way to show leadership for [medical] school.  I knew it wouldn’t always be easy, but I have a great floor and I love all the residence on it.  For the most part, they don’t cause too much trouble, but we are only through the first semester.  There is still time …

HC: What has been the most difficult challenge of being an RA?

BH: Though most people won’t believe it, I really hate writing people up.  Some people think that RAs just enjoy getting people in trouble, but that is not true at all.  My goal at the beginning of the year was to not write a single person up.  Unfortunately, I have had to do it on a few occasions, but I try to avoid it.  Doing rounds is also not the most exciting thing…and if it is “exciting” it isn’t the excitement I would like.  But, I knew what I was signing up for and I knew what I was getting myself into.  Sometimes its difficult, but my Humbert Four nuggets are the light in my darkness.  They are the chocolate chips to my cookie.

HC: If you could be any movie star, who would you be and why?

BH: Ashton Kutcher! Hands down!  He is good-looking and he clearly gets all the ladies, since he got divorced because he had an affair.  He is also hilarious, and girls always like funny guys.  And have you seen him in The Guardian?  Oh, he is just fire! Who doesn’t want to be a man with fine abs and a nice tooshie.

HC: What are some qualities you look for in a girl?

BH: I want a girl who is driven in life.  I want her to have goals for herself and want to achieve them.  I also want someone who is down-to-earth and has morals that she sticks too.  I love doing things for girls and I like when girls are appreciative of that.  Any girl who brings me steak is a winner! Of course, I want a girl who is good-looking, but I don’t put as much emphasis on the looks as I do with their personality.

HC: Who is your dream celebrity and why?

BH: Rachel McAdams.  She seems down-to-earth.  She is gorgeous and an amazing actress.  You don’t read about her doing stupid stuff in the magazines.  She seems to remain true to who she is and I found that quality important in a girl.

HC: What has been your biggest mistake with girls?

BH: Sometimes, people have a hard time reading me.  I don’t always show or say how I feel so it is difficult to know exactly what I am thinking or feeling at a certain moment.  I have tried to get better at it, but it’s still a work in progress.  But I’m a charming guy, ladies!
