Trump is set to eliminate an Obama-era policy that regulates the amount of gas emissions from power plants, CNN reports. Scott Pruitt, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is set to scrap the Clean Power Plan.
At an event with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Tuesday, Pruitt announced a proposal to repeal the policy.
It is yet to be determined by the EPA if they will create a new plan.
