So Beyonce Was At the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Film Premier

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePaul chapter.

It’s 10am and I can’t wrap my head around two of the biggest icons at the same location at the same time. This is my Roman Empire and I won’t be elaborating.

If you haven’t seen it already, Beyonce was at The Eras Tour Film Premier and she ate that futuristic-looking black long-sleeve leotard with a metallic silver breastplate by LaQuan Smith and she was giving a taste of the Renaissance tour, enough for you to want more.

Taylor wore a blue strapless embroidered cutout floral gown by Oscar de la Renta and let me tell you, she WAS ready for it.

She thanked Beyonce and it highkey made me tear up in class. Seeing powerful women in the industry thank Beyonce for her ability to help artists “break rules and defy industry norms,” like Beyonce will forever be an important figure in the music industry, not only for her work but also because of her legacy.

The Insta video’s giving me and my bestie making my boyfriend set up a photoshoot of us on his phone.

She posted a little thank you post on Instagram thanking the Swifites and fans saying due to high demands she opened up early access to The Eras Tour Concert Film today in America and Canada. She posted the picture with her Eras cup in hand. It’s so iconic like a cup with her face all over it in hand, like if my movie about my sold out tour started screening earlier I too would also post a picture like this.

I know my sister’s a diehard Swiftie going to see The Eras Tour Concert this weekend and I haven’t heard her stop talking about it, which is literally so cute. It reminds me of Justin Bieber’s: Never Say Never (2011) film which I bought merch for from the Justice store and it makes me so emotional seeing her do this for The Eras Tour Concert Film like such a big sister moment for me.

Even if you’re not a Swiftie it’s still super impressive how much the Swifties made an impact on the film dates that she literally had to open up shows for earlier access. There’s no doubt in my mind I won’t cry during this movie and I’m not even a “real” Swiftie.

Hanna Lopez is a senior at DePaul University. She is a journalism major with a minor in television, radio and media. Before writing for Her Campus she wrote for Spoon University Her Campus's food publication as a national writer. She wrote reviews, a lot of how-to’s and even interviewed TikTok Foodie Faith Christensen on becoming TikTok famous and where she got her inspiration from because all of her recipes look super tasty. Outside of writing for Her Campus, Hanna has her own radio show on DePaul's radio station. A coffee enthusiast and barista (shocking), she loves trying different coffee places around Chicago. In her off time she likes going out with her boyfriend trying different breakfast diners around the suburbs. She has been a guest on WGN’s radio show with Lisa Dent and has an interest in political journalism and criminology. As the Campus Correspondent for HC at DePaul Hanna’s goal is for members to know they are making a difference not only on campus and writing for HC at DePaul but also outside of school. She hopes to show members that everyone in the chapter is valued and wants to make sure they know that HC at DePaul will always be inclusive student media!
