Ladies, guys are getting smarter, smarter than you may think. We all love joking about the cheesy, cliché pick-up lines about pirates or being from Tennessee, but those are a little outdated. Though today’s pick-up lines may not be as forward as claiming you’re an angel who fell from heaven, they still exist and are used much more frequently than we’re aware of. Boys everywhere think they have us fooled, but little do they know, we’re on to them…silly boys! It’s impossible to compile a list of every smooth move ever used, but nevertheless, here are 12 of the lines or “moves” that are the most common:
- Gently putting their hand on your lower back, just above the booty
- “Do you mind if I sit on your bed?”
- “What are you doing after this?”
- “Wanna hang out after this?”
- Brag about how they feel all guys should treat women.
- “Why do you hang out with these friends, everyone knows your prettier?”
- Taking a picture with you and suggesting that they’ll make it their profile picture
- Making sure that you always have a drink in hand
- Having their hand “conveniently” brush up against your hand
- Offering to walk you home
- Stepping closer and closer to you as your conversation progresses
