Feeling a little like this after Thanksgiving:

I get it. We have all been there! Here are some tips that I have found that will help you get out of that “food coma”:

1. Have some peppermint tea right after overeating. The hot tea can sooth your digestive system.

2. Go on a brisk 15-30 minute walk after eating. It will help your digestion and control blood sugar and it will take pressure off your stomach. Don’t lie down until it has been around two to three hours

3. Start eating healthy again. (Think: Have balanced meals with fruit or vegetables, drink enough water and eat smaller portions.)

4. Don’t skip breakfast! It helps you start your day and avoid overeating in the afternoon.

5. Have some green tea. It helps push along digestion!

I hope these tips help you recover after overeating!
