Long distance. The act that not everyone wants to participate in, but sometimes it’s the best choice possible at that moment in time. Everything happens for a reason, right? When you’re destined to be with someone, you’d do anything for that person, even if you must travel to see your loved one on the weekends, once a week, or even once a month. You two will make it work because the love that you have for that person will never break.

My boyfriend and I have been doing long distance for about 2 years now, and we both know that this wasn’t exactly what we planned for, but who can plan there life perfectly? No one (unless you know how, and in that case let me know your secret). Long distance wasn’t the end of all things between us though. We both understood that this time in our life is where we, unfortunately, can’t be together every single day of our lives but, it’s going to be worth every second when one day we can be together.

I asked my boyfriend what he thought about our long distance and this is what he said, “There’s a reason that we aren’t together at this time. We know our relationship is strong enough for us to not see each other every day because we are both doing something to better ourselves for our future together”.

In the end, my boyfriend and I make things do. We see each other on the weekends and it’s like we saw each other yesterday. Facetime comes in handy a lot during the week when we want to hear each other’s voice or see each other’s face. It’s not the end of the world to do long distance, it makes the heart grow fonder instead.
