Fictional Characters That Would Make the BEST Valentine’s Dates

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CWU chapter.

Ah, Valentine’s Day. A day of love and chocolates and pink. If you have a significant other, Valentine’s Day is a wonderful day to celebrate. If you’re single, you may want to spend the occasion daydreaming about gorgeous fictional characters sweeping you off your feet and treating you better than Brock from ECON ever would.

This is my favorite activity on Valentine’s Day, so I decided to give my opinions on which fictional characters would make this day of love most memorable.

Wanda Maximoff (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

Wanda created an entire town to give her and Vision the perfect sitcom love story. She would go all out for Valentine’s Day and look gorgeous while doing it. You’ll recreate your favorite romantic comedy movie and end the night cuddling on the couch.

George Weasley (Harry Potter)

While Fred is the more flirty of the twins, George seems to be the sweet and sentimental one. He would set off fireworks spelling out, “I love you,” during Defense Against the Dark Arts and toss you a box of chocolates before running away to not get caught by Filch.

Jessica Day (New Girl)

Jess is a hopeless romantic and would shower you with all the cutest crafts made with love. She would make you cookies and end the night by serenading you with a cheesy song.

Foggy Nelson (Daredevil)

Now you can’t tell me that Foggy wouldn’t be the sweetest on Valentine’s Day. He would treat you to a candlelit dinner, complete with your favorite music and offer to give you a massage after your long day at work. It is on a Monday, after all. He’s the type to draw you a bath with those fancy salts and buy you a fluffy new robe just for the occasion.

Spencer Shay (iCarly)

Okay…hear me out. You are going to get the most extravagant sculpture that represents his love for you, made completely out of Babybel cheese wax, and then giggle together while cleaning up the melted wax because he decided to put a hundred candles all around it.

Daenerys Targaryen (Game of Thrones)

What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than flying a dragon? Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion will be like puppies to you. You and Dany will feed each other grapes while basking in the sun.

Remus Lupin (Marauders Era Harry Potter)

(Think of Andrew Garfield as the fancast for young Remus.) Remus would apparate you both to a sunny field and set out a picnic with fruits and sandwiches. After basking in the sunlight he would read you a poem he wrote about his feelings for you. You’ll end the day snuggled up in the Gryffindor common room with hot cocoa and your favorite books.
