Anthony Vincent: Male Nurse Taking Freshman Year by Storm

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CUA chapter.

Anthony Vincent is not your average first-semester freshman; he has been at CUA for less than three months and has already become a familiar face when walking around campus. Not only is he hard to miss because of his 6’1” stature, but also because he is already so involved with the CUA community. As if his presence wasn’t already big enough, his even bigger personality and sense of humor is enough to make anyone feel at ease. Plus, if you get on his good side he might get you food from the upstairs Pryz #score.

Full Name: Anthony Paul Vincent

Age: 18

Hometown: Pennsville, NJ

Major/Minor: Nursing, and Spanish

Graduation Year: 2019

Relationship Status: Single

Extracurriculars at CUA: Redline A Cappella, Student Nurses Association, and works in Admissions

Dream Job: Nurse practitioner in pediatrics

Biggest Pet Peeve: People who interrupt others speaking, and when people chew with their mouths open

Most Embarrassing Moment: He was trying to do a quick-change for a show he was in, but couldn’t get his costume on fast enough so he went out on stage without pants on. “I was an army-general in underwear.”

Guilty Pleasure: Chipotle

Random Fun Fact: He met, and hugged, Lana del Rey in Central Park (but he couldn’t get any pictures with her because he had lost his phone in the ocean a day before)

Dream Destination: Dubai, he went there for a month and a half before

Spirit Animal: Orca, because they are deceitful. “They look all nice on the outside, but they are savage on the inside. I like to think that’s me.”

Drink of Choice: Ciroc, because, “it’s classy $#!+.” And in the fall he especially enjoys Redd’s Apple Ale

Cat or Dog Person? Dog.

Your Ideal Date: Something exciting, not going to a movie. “Because you can’t talk in movies…and that’s awkward.” A nice dinner, and then doing something fun that helps you get to know the other person afterward. He was not sure exactly what that would be, but he said he would think about it.

As a side note, Anthony wanted to tell HC that is he is #funloving. Fun loving, sure, until he goes all Orca on you.

Having come a long way from her freshman year as an"exploratory" major living in Centennial Village, Kelly loves Catholic University just as much as she did when she moved onto campus in August 2012. She has since declared a major in Media & Communication Studies, has fallen in love with her friends at CUA, and has found Washington D.C. another place to call home. In addition to being a Her Campus CUA contributor,  Kelly is also part of Catholic's Redline A Cappella, and is a Sister of Kappa Tau Gamma Sorority. Kelly hopes that Her Campus will help her connect better with the CUA community, and help her to perfect her writing skills before she graduates in May.
