Moon Ritual Guide: Super Blood Wolf Moon Tonight

Tonight’s the night! The Super Blood Wolf Moon, I know that sounds like the name of a rock and from the 80s but just hear me out. This total Lunar Eclipse might just be the exact thing you need to get your 2019 on track, and help you find that initiative you’ve been lacking, even make peace with some issues of your past. Mama Moon is here to force some positive and validating energy into our lives. Here’s how you can best prep yourself for receiving all that good juju.

I know some of you just rolled your eyes. It’s fine. Don’t believe me? Why don’t you give it a shot, all it requires is a little daydreaming and energy redirecting. Give it a shot. See what happens. Worst case scenario, you’re right ;)

For those of us here in Boulder, the extremely rare Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse will occur between 8:35 p.m. and 11:51 a.m. reaching it’s peak around 10:12pm.

What’s up with the freaky name? Basically, the super rare eclipse is also happening at the time of the super moon, which occurs when the Moon is closest to the Earth in it’s orbit. The wolf name comes into play because each moon has it’s own name that is associated with the Full Moon, for Earth in January, it’s called the “Wolf Moon”

So, how can this super rare and beautiful astrological event impact your life? You’d be surprised. There’s actually a deep emotional meaning behind what some are calling “the best eclipse we will see for years to come” Talk about starting 2019 off with bang. Plus, today marks the start of Aquarius season, so if you’re an Aqua (like me) this eclipse holds extra special importance. Something to be aware of: The Moon will be in opposition to Mercury (planet of thought process and communication) at the time of the eclipse, so if you experience some nervous tension and uncertainty don’t fret. Just focus on redirecting your energy toward positive intention!

This Solar Eclipse symbolizes a wrap up of the Leo-Aquarius axis season. Basically what I mean here is reflect on where you were when this kicked off, August 21st 2016. Think of all the lessons you’ve learned, dreams you’ve started (and maybe given up on?) things you need closure from, things you want to run toward full speed ahead. Tonight it your grande finale, everything is coming full circle. Take some time to reflect on it all, because tonight is like the ultimate “moving on” experience.

This  Super Blood Moon will symbolize a great time to set new intentions, begin pursuing new goals, enter into newly awakened states, and encourage/speed up the process of change.

If you’re looking for a little self inspired motivation, intention setting, and energy flow here are a few steps you can take tonight during Moon time! The energy of the Moon can be used to energize abundance and forage a deeper self connection.

Tonight’s Moon Ritual To Do List –

  1. Clean up your space. Light a candle (or 20), set up or crystals, crank up that Stevie Nicks Playlist, or whatever makes your physical energy space feel open, calm, and accepting.

  2. Write down a list of all the things you want to let go of. Acknowledge and thank these people/experiences for the lessons they taught you, sign your name at the bottom. (If you’re feeling extra witchy, burn this paper)

  3. Write down a list of your goals/dreams as if they have already happened. Be thankful for your future blessings and accomplishments in this state of your Moon Ritual. Cultivate a mindset of gratitude. Sign your name. (Again, paper burning is optional here)

  4. During all of this, try to show up as the highest version of yourself, practice abundance, let your energy flow and be accepting of all the positive wonderful things waiting for you.

Wishing you all a super validating, positive, inspiring, and uplifting Super Moon experience tonight.  Go out and channel your inner Stevie.

Love and Light always,

Lo
