Meet Juliette Tucci, Founder of the “College Girls Go Crazy” Podcast

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CU Boulder chapter.

In the past few years, podcasts have become increasingly popular. Juliette Tucci, a Junior at the University of Colorado at Boulder, picked up the hobby of listening to podcasts during quarantine and decided to create one of her own. Read on to learn more about Tucci and why you should listen to her new podcast “College Girls Go Crazy”.

About Juliette Tucci

Tucci moved to Denver, Colorado in 8th grade. After taking several marketing courses in high school, she knew she wanted to pursue business in college. She chose to attend CU Boulder and started her freshman year as a management major, eventually narrowing the program down to marketing. She is currently double majoring in marketing and strategy and entrepreneurship.

Her new podcast is currently a passion project, but she hopes to get some advice from her professors in the business school to help her grow the platform in the future.

Why She Started the Podcast

For some, quarantine was a time of self-growth and finding new passions. Tucci began to take walks and listen to Q&A style podcasts about post-grad life. These habits sparked her interest in creating her own podcast about life in college. Soon, she found she couldn’t even focus on the podcasts she was listening to because she was so immersed in the idea of creating her own.

“I woke up one morning and thought, ‘College Girls Go Crazy’ would be a great name for a podcast because of the song (“Hood Go Crazy” by Tech N9ne) it comes from,” Tucci said.

Although the name may be misleading, she didn’t want the podcast to represent the wild side of a college student like drinking, partying, and smoking, but rather that of the crazy journey of college life. When she was alone at her house one day, she recorded the introduction episode, uploaded it to several podcast platforms, and hasn’t looked back since. The “College Girls Go Crazy” podcast now has five full-length episodes ranging from 20 minutes to over an hour.

About the “College Girls Go Crazy” Podcast

Each episode focuses around life as a college student and how to be successful during the craziest four years of your life. Tucci plans to interview college women from around the country to give listeners different views on the college experience, from college move-in, to business start-ups, to surviving virtual learning, and more. Listeners should expect a wide range of topics that all tie back to college and how to utilize the experience to your advantage.

Although Tucci attends CU Boulder, she has been reaching out to college-aged women from around the country to interview. She wants the podcast to resonate with all college women.
