Okay, so the moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. After a six-year break and lots of attached heartbreak from millions of teenage girls, the Jonas Brothers are BACK and have released a NEW SINGLE!! And are, in the words of Priyanka Chopra, “Back and hotter than ever.”
That’s right! Tonight the Jonas Brothers dropped their comeback single “Sucker”. For all of you wondering if this song can compare to their past hits, don’t worry. I’m here to tell you just how fire this new song is.
Was I mentally prepared for this song… maybe. Was I expecting it to be good… of course. Everything the JoBros has ever done has been gold. But, was I fully prepared for everything it turned out to be… I can’t say that I was. This song really is EVERYTHING. For starters, it is a total bop, not unlike anything else they have ever put out, but at the same time, brings a completely different vibe than any song they’ve put out before this. This song definitely shows that although they are trying to maintain some semblance of their old music style, they have definitely grown and changed with everything that has happened over the years.
The music video though… OMG. That really was everything. For starters, all three of them had their beautiful partners featured as their love interests, just to show how much things have really changed since they last made music. Everyone in this music video looked downright amazing and all of the scenery just made the song that much better. Nick looked like an absolute snack, matched only by his wife, with his vocals blowing the song out of the water. Joe was just as amazing, with his vocals coming in second to Nick, not being given quite as much time… while Kevin was given the same treatment as in the old days. In the background, playing instruments, and singing only background vocals.
All in all, though, this song is more than I could have hoped for. It brought back all of the feels and got me more excited than I thought my 18-year-old self could have been. I am in love with this song and am so excited to see what amazing things are to come.
