My Favorite Things to Crochet For Fall!

Crocheting is a relaxing hobby that anyone can do! I love to crochet during fall while watching Gilmore Girls and drinking a chai latte. These are some of my favorite things to crochet for fall:

Beanie:

The beanie is something that anyone can learn to crochet; in fact, it was my first project! To make a simple beanie, crochet a starting chain the height of the beanie. I like to make mine a little longer so that it can fold up at the end. Then, crochet a number of rows using any stitch until it fits around your head. I crochet in the back loops only to create a ribbed effect, but this is optional. Once it’s the desired length, sew the sides together. Next, weave a tail of yarn around the top of the hat and cinch it closed. Now you have the perfect beanie for fall or winter!

Fingerless Mittens:

Fingerless mittens are so cute during fall, especially when you get to say that you made them yourself! Begin by making a starting chain the desired length. I usually make mine from just above the knuckle to just below the wrist. Using any stitch, crochet as many rows as needed until it fits around your hand. Like the beanie, I crochet in the back loops only to create a ribbed effect, but this is totally optional. Once the mitten is of the desired length, stitch up the sides, leaving a gap that your thumb can fit through, approximately in the middle. Now you have stylish fingerless mittens for the fall season!

Crochet is the perfect hobby for fall, especially when you’re in need of cute accessories that add the perfect touch to any fall outfit!
