To our readers,
It is that time of the year again. The time to hand in your last final, pack up your room, say good bye to your friends, and go home to enjoy the warm summer months. Sadly, for us, this will be our last time leaving the gates of Connecticut College, as we are both graduating. Though it will be strange to leave the place we have called home for the past four years, we look forward to the future. This summer, Katherine is moving to NYC to pursue a career in publishing and Elyse is moving to Boston pursue a career in Marketing Communications. Our work with HerCampus has been a great learning experience for both of our perspective fields.
Starting the Her Campus branch at Conn was daunting to say the least. We were not sure how it would be received and how to best gain viewers. Luckily, it turned out to be a rewarding and exciting experience! We loved working within a team to produce new and different ideas each week – especially getting to know more about our peers through the Campus Cutie and Celebrity interviews.
Thank you to everyone who read Her Campus this year! We’d also like to thank our two freshman writers, Bettina and Danielle, who were so helpful and thoughtful. We wish them the best of luck next year, as they take over the branch!
Come next Fall, the round of Campus Cuties and Celebrities will be up and running again–so please keep reading and get involved.
