Like it or not (more likely the latter), summer’s over: and that means it’s back to Morningside for what are sure to be four very eventful months. As with every summer, there were a few little updates made to the campus and Morningside Heights: read on so you’re in the know!
Joe is opening in Dodge soon
So you don’t have to trek those four extra blocks up to 120th (or so you can confuse twice the number of baristas with your confusing coffee order).
Deluxe is closed (again)
We’re still not convinced it isn’t a marketing scheme like last time. In the meanwhile, we miss you, grilled cheeses.
Cannons is closed (finally)
We have dual feelings of nostalgia and relief about this one.
Cafe East got a complete makeover
Maybe now it’ll match the rest of the Lerner building.
Maggie the Magnolia Tree is deceased
Have you heard? (Side note: apparently, we’re getting a new magnolia tree! Gone, but never forgotten.)
