Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. Nicer weather is hopefully around the corner. Today I would like to talk about the broadway musical Hamilton. Now I know it has been around for a few years but this past fall I finally got the pleasure to see it on Disney plus. This musical has 46 songs, all of which bring their own piece of Alexander Hamilton’s story. After listening to the album probably 100 times I have my top favorites. Some are probably yours today, some I am probably alone in, or some you may have overlooked. Without further ado I give you the best songs from Hamilton. Side note I am going to break this up by giving you the best songs from Act I, II, and then overall.

Best Songs From Act I

-Alexander Hamilton: the one that starts it all has to be on the list. I feel like this song is a must on anyone’s list.

-The Schuyler Sisters: the introduction to Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy (if you sang their names then you’re a good one). I think back to this scene in the musical and I just absolutely love it.

-You’ll Be Back: the introduction to King George III, he is in my top three characters.

-Right Hand Man: This song is so good, it gets everyone pumped for the fight to come.

-Helpless: Besides Eliza’s amazing voice, I love this song due to Hamitlon’s little dance he does toward the end and then Hercules Mulligan being the flower boy.

-Stay Alive: This song is on the list due to the banter between Hamilton and Charles Lee (weeeee)

-Guns and Ships: I could never remember the name of this song but I knew Layfette had his moment.

-Yorktown: I feel like this song also has to be a must.

-Dear Theodosia: A beautiful song for a beautiful moment.

Best Songs From Act II

-What’d I miss: Thomas Jefferson’s coming hoooome

-Cabinet Battle #1: I was not prepared for this at all but the cabinet battles are one of the best parts of Act II

-Say No To This: A sultry song to let the world know Alexander is up to no good

-Washington On Your Side: if you know the best part of this song then you know

-The Adams Administration: This song is on the list for the very fact of King George doing his little dance in the beginning

-Burn: Enough said

-Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story: After listening to this song and thinking back to the musical it is actually a touching ending.

Overall

*can include songs that weren’t in the top songs from Act I or II

-Satisfied: I’ve listened to this song so much that I’m getting tired of it, but I know it is an amazing song that can give a prelude for some of the situations that follows

-My Shot: It’s not my favorite but it gives reason as to why some of these characters never gave up

-Yorktown: Honestly still an amazing song

-What Comes Next: Another prelude to the events in Act II but also another change to hear King Geroge again

Hope you enjoyed, until next time.
