Reasons Why Going Home for Spring Break Is the Best

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

It’s that time – spring break is almost here and we couldn’t be more ready! With the ever-changing weather, we all need that week of perfect weather, that week of no homework, papers, or exams, that week to ourselves. Even if you aren’t going anywhere extravagant or tropical, spring break is glorious. In anticipation for spring break, we’re counting down the best things about spring break at home. Get ready!

Your Bed/The Couch

After two months of late nights and early alarms, we’re gifted with 10 whole days dedicated to sleeping in – and sleeping in late. So while some students are sweating on a sticky beach, you can be relaxing under the covers in the air conditioning because really we know that’s what you’re truly missing.

Free Meals

No more scanning into the dining hall and no more swiping your debit card for off-campus meals. We’re treating ourselves to a week of home cooked meals – free of charge

High School Friends

You most likely haven’t seen your hometown friends in two or three months and that can make for some wonderful reunions over break! So if you aren’t traveling for spring break, start planning now to meet up with your high school friends.

Pets

Who doesn’t miss their pets when they’re away at college? One of the best parts about going home for spring break is spending time with woman’s best friend. You enjoy all those doggie cuddles!

Endless Free Time

College is good. College is great. And even though college centers around managing our own time, we tend to have multiple tasks vying for a piece of our day. Spring break is time to truly enjoy endless free time and to put this time to the best use.

No matter how you choose to spend spring break one thing is for sure, the break is well deserved!
