Austin is the President of Clemson’s Ice Hockey team. He is a junior, Civil Engineering major from Easley, SC.
1.) What is your favorite part about being a part of Clemson Ice Hockey?
My favorite part about being on the team has to be the camaraderie. It’s such a great group of guys to be around and there’s never a dull moment. Not to mention that we’re getting to play the game that we love most at the collegiate level.
2.) What is your favorite thing about Clemson?
There’s way too many things to choose from to narrow it down to one. This place is perfect!
3.) What do you do as Ice Hockey’s president?
As president of the Ice Hockey team I deal with scheduling games and practices, team paperwork, trip planning, our team merchandise, team website, and making sure that everything runs smoothly with the commissioner of our league.
4.) What has been your most memorable game as a part of Clemson Ice Hockey?
My most memorable game as a member of Clemson Hockey had to be the game at USC earlier this season. There’s nothing like beating the Gamecocks in Columbia in front of all of their fans. Words can’t describe how great of a feeling that was.
5.) What is your favorite Clemson tradition?
Home football games for sure. It amazes me how many people pour into this small college town to cheer on the Tigers. Tailgating in Clemson for a football game will make you realize how passionate and exciting this place really is.
6.) When is Ice Hockey’s next game?
We just beat College of Charleston this week and our next game is not until after break now. It will be January 9th against University of Gerogia at The Pavillion in Greenville.
