Now that fall has finally come its time to keep our little toes warm and break out our beloved boots.  Maybe I’m the only, but I absolutely love boots. Here is the 411 on all types of boots for all occasions.

Riding Boots:

These have come to be a staple in every girl’s wardrobe all around the world. Riding boots can be dressed up or dressed down which makes them so versatile. When buying a pair of riding boots try to stick with boots with very little hardware and studs. Since they are called riding boots you want them to look as if you are ready to jump on a horse at any minute. Also the best color to get when buying these boots is brown. When trying to mix brown and black it is more pleasing to the eye to mix brown accessories with a black outfit rather than black accessories with a brown outfit.

For those of you that are monogram obsessed like I am, you can get monogrammed riding boots!

Cowboy Boots

Just because summer and warm football games are coming to end doesn’t mean our cowboy boots have to go into hibernation.  Down here in the south cowboy boots are just as much of a fall and winter staple as riding boots! Like riding boots when picking out the perfect pair of cowboy boots try to go for a brown boot with a simple stitching detail. Also be weary of boots with rounded toes. Round toe boots look a lot more manly and scream work boot to those that actually work on farms.

And of course for the monogram lovers, I found monogrammed cowboy boots!

Rain boots

Rain boots are lifesavers at college because unlike high school we are constantly walking from class to class outside (if only classes got canceled because of rain). Rain boots come in a variety of shapes, colors, and styles. Most commonly you see people sporting bright or patterned tall rain boots, but with rain boots you can never go wrong. So if you fall in love with a pair of hot pink rain boots go ahead and get them! No one will be complaining about a pop of color on a dull wet day! But remember, if you opt for colorful rain boots keep the rest of your outfit more neutral.

Yep you guessed it! You can get monogrammed rain boots. But if you already have a pair of rain boots that you love you can get waterproof monogrammed vinyl stickers to add to any pair of rain boots off www.etsy.com

Duck Boots

Rain boots aren’t the only type of boots out there that will keep you toes dry on a rainy day. Duck boots are perfect for rain or snow. How perfect is that- it’s kind of like a two in one deal, and everyone loves deals. The only problem is that duck boots are a hit or miss with most people; you either love them or hate them. I am one of those people that love them and think they are the perfect addition to many outfits. When getting a pair of duck boots make sure you try them on socks to make sure you get the perfect size.

Ugg Boots

Last but certainly not least on this list are Ugg boots. Yes they are not the most attractive shoes, they make your feet look two sizes bigger than they really are, and guys hate them, but every girl and her mother owns a pair of Uggs. That’s because they’re so warm and comfy! They are like oversized sweaters for your feet. If you are buying your first pair of Uggs you can never go wrong with the tall classics in chestnut or chocolate. They can be paired with almost any fall or winter outfit and look great. If you are on the shorter side maybe go with the short classics to elongate your legs. But whatever you do, please don’t wear Uggs with shorts or skirts. That’s never a good idea, not even when the girls of Laguna Beach did it in the early 2000s.
