This week we sat down with one of our contributing writers, Olivia Barksdale (also known as OB) to get her take on finals season, winter break and being a part of Her Campus. Keep reading to find out more about her!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m a sophomore at Clark majoring in Environmental Science. I play varsity Field Hockey and Softball. I’m from Maryland, and have visited 48 out of the 50 states in America!

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of Her Campus?
Writing for Her Campus gives me the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and express my thoughts and feeling to fellow women.
How do you stay calm through finals season?
I enjoy listening to music and drinking tea while studding. Some of my favorite artists are Jack Garret, X Ambassadors, James Bay and Alessia Cara.
What are you most looking forward to over winter break?
I look forward to seeing some of my best friends and doing spontaneous activities. Right now we are planning to see Christmas lights at night in a zoo. I am also excited to be able to sleep in and finally relax. I might even catch up on some reading.
