So, for the last 3 weeks of April, I have not been working, but this past week was my time back.

And wow these last couple of days have been rough.

While I was at work there were a few things that I noticed:

1. The parking lot was full when I arrived. So full that it was ridiculous. While I understand that people are bored at home, social distancing and quarantining need to be taken more seriously. Unless what you are getting is needed immediately, it can wait.

2. There were a good number of customers that were understanding and appreciative. Which we, as workers during this pandemic, are grateful for. However, there were also a few customers who were extremely impatient and not understanding the current situation or stress that we are under.

3. Being back at work is taking a toll on my body. After 3 weeks of being at home with minimal exercise, suddenly being on my feet again for 8+ hours in a row has been hard. At the end of my shifts, I have been extremely exhausted and tired.

As an essential worker, I hope everyone stays safe and keeps in mind that the current rules and restrictions are in place for a reason. On the other hand, let’s see if my body can rebuild its endurance (I guess only time will tell).
