Name: Andy Renard
Major: History/Philosophy/Women and Gender Studies
Year: Senior
Hometown: Biloxi, Mississippi, but my folks live in Vermont now.
Relationship Status: Taken.
Favorite Color: Blue.
Best/Worst Qualities: Honesty, and I would literally give the shirt off of my back to a friend if they needed it. Worst? My inability to say “no,” and I can get a bit of a temper at times.
Fun Fact: I came to Clark completely on accident- it’s a good story. Ask me about it sometime.
Describe yourself in five words or less: Work hard to play hard.
Favorite Food: Sushi. Hands down.
Hobbies/Activities: DJing, playing guitar, talking philosophy over a glass of whiskey, reading, writing, thinking.
Favorite thing to do at Clark: Tough call. I love drinking with other Student Council members after our weekly meetings and recapping what happened, but I also really love just walking around and meeting new people on a weekend night.
What do I look for in a girl: Above all, honesty and affection. But, blue eyes are my kryptonite.
Favorite Pick-Up Line: Honestly, I don’t think I have one… I
don’t think I’ve used a pick-up line in a while. But I thoroughly enjoy bad pick-up lines like “I don’t have a library card, but can I check you out?” I sincerely hope people don’t actually say that.Perfect First Date: Well, it wasn’t a first date, but the best date I’ve ever been on was like this- We drove out to a field in Vermont, put a blanket out, and just sat under the stars together with a bottle of wine. A shooting star went over, too- it was a little too perfect.
Best place for a date in Worcester: This is tough. I would have to say it’s a tie between the Sole (Proprieter), and Baba. I just love Baba’s atmosphere, but sometimes it can be a little too cramped.
Celeb Crush: Oh my. Taylor Swift. End of story.
Campus Crush: Does a girlfriend count? If so, then my girlfriend.
Where I see myself in 5 years: Either in a Ph.D program, or working as a lawyer.
Best advice: Constantly seek stimulation and motivation- consistently reflect on your actions, thoughts, and feelings, and then move forward from there towards self-improvement.
