10 Pinterest Pages to Follow

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clark chapter.

Hi my name is Jess, and I’m addicted to Pinterest.

I’ve loved the site since I found it first year of college. I got it to start thinking of program ideas for RHA for when I eventually became an RA. I was able to find so many great ideas for bulletin boards, door tags and gifts. Eventually I expanded to a fashion board and created a new standard for buying clothing – would I pin this? When my best friend got engaged we both contributed to her wedding board. After that, I started pinning ideas to a secret board with surprise party ideas and eventually, my boards expanded to craft and decoration ideas all the way to travel dreams. Pinterest is the one app I keep as a “game” on my phone. I’ll use it on the bus or when I’m waiting for a meeting to start. Through my Pinterest journey I’ve found 10 specific pages that I LOVE and hopefully you will too!

1. Girl ScoutsI’ve been involved in Girl Scouts since kindergarten and have loved the organization ever since. It was such a wonderful experience that it elicits so much nostalgia in me. It’s also a great for inspiring quotes, adorable girls and wonderful babysitting tips.

2. BuzzfeedWith boards with everything from animals to fitness to organization, there are 53 boards to follow so clicking the follow page won’t lead you wrong. It’s such a well-rounded board that will give you everything for your pinning needs.

 3. Veda House – A minimalistic designer and photo stylist, her boards are to die for! There’s the show room and website design as well as easy modern DIY projects and fine arts. It’s worth it to follow as a whole page but you can always go through and follow just the boards you’re interested in!

4. Free People – I love everything about Free People besides the price. This board allows me to find the style I want in my dreams as well as some creative tips to achieve the ‘Free People Style’ on a budget. And, I love their description: “The Free People woman lives free through fashion, art, music, travel and everything in between.”

5. Budget Travel – This page has everything from bucket list travel spots, silly travel sign boards and a board for cool small towns in America to visit. They have 69 boards so feel free to go through and find what you are interested in!

6. LaurnConrad.com – I’m not sure there is a single collegiette who doesn’t love Lauren – and her website’s Pinterest page lives up to the expectation. With dreamy pastel pins, you’ll get great inspiration, reading suggestions and DIY ideas for every occasion!

8. Iliza Shlesinger – Iliza is my favorite comedian on the planet. If you haven’t seen her show “Freezing Hot” on Netflix I would highly recommend watching that now. You’ll never think about tapas, flatbread or Pinterest the same way.  Her boards are honest and hilarious and I’d highly recommend learning more about her.

9. The Fashion Cookbook – This blog founded by two recent Clark grads is focused on finding fashion that makes you happy. They are “Image Consultants + Fashion Bloggers; Creators of Style Recipes; Believers in a pinch of sass, a dash of glamour + a teaspoon of whimsy.” Their board is adorable and sweet, and it covers everything tailored specifically to College girls. It’s a positive and sweet pick me up at all times!

10. Her Campus – The Her Campus Pinterest page is honestly my favorite out of all of the social media accounts that Her Campus has. Tailored specifically for colligiettes, the “Dream Dorm” and “Work It!” pages are some of my favorite on Pinterest. With great ideas for gifts and a “Hello Handsome!” board, they quite literally have all your Pinterest needs in one place.
