HC: How do you balance being so involved on campus with your major?
MF: I’d say the more full my plate is, the more I’m forced to balance, if that makes sense. I just keep moving forward and have a positive attitude about everything which helps keep me on track and motivated to get things done.
HC: What’s your favorite thing about UC? MF: My favorite thing about UC is the people. UC brings such a diverse group of students together and getting to interact and learn from the amazing students here really excites me. HC:What’s a funny or fun story from your time at UC? MF: At one of the football games this year, I was on camera (the big screen) with my friend who just so happens to be a girl. What I didn’t realize was that it was the kiss cam. I just cheered and then right before the camera panned off of us, she kissed me on the cheek. Needless to say I was quite surprised, and I awkwardly said, “thanks?”. HC: Any Valentines day plans? MF: Unfortunately I cannot celebrate the day of with my lady friend because I am in Pittsburgh for a HOBY meeting, but we have another day picked out. When I get back, I’ll probably cook her dinner and rent a nice romantic comedy and try to pretend I don’t enjoy rom coms.HC: Any past Valentines Day disasters? MF: Not really because my HS girlfriend and I “didn’t believe in Valentine’s Day.” We thought we were too cool for school. Needless to say that relationship didn’t work out. HC: Favorite pick up line? MF: Funny: “The Titanic….” *Pause and wait for her awkward response.* Then say, “Dang, I knew that was a bad ice breaker!”
