On October 1 at 7:30 p.m., the Bearcats took the University of Miami (FL) Hurricanes in their third home game of the season. In the newly renovated Nippert Stadium, thousands of fans gathered to watch the Bearcats beat the undeated Hurricanes, 34-23. This is the first victory UC has seen versus the opponent since 1947.
With a crowd of 40,101 people, this game had the largest on-campus attendance in UC history.
UC’s student section brought the Ruckus on Thursday, decked out in the theme of blackout.
Parents and alumni also showed their Bearcat pride after the first touchdown during the first quarter.
