Hometown and Your Favorite Thing About It:
Pittsburgh. I’d have to say my favorite thing about it is how diverse the areas are – one moment you’re in the city and the next you’re in a beautiful park or a gorgeous secluded campus (ahem! Chatham anyone?!) There is just so much to see and explore!

Areas of Study and Why You Chose Them:
I am working on a combined major of Pscyh and Bio, I really love the sciences and I’m very fond of psychology – now all I have to do is figure out what I want to do with my life!

Favorite Book:
Hmmm…I have a TON of books I love. I really don’t think I can pick just one. Two of my favorite series are Bloody Jack (by L.A. Meyer) and Vampire Academy (by P.C. Cast). I’m not ashamed to admit that these are really low-level reads (I discovered them both during my Junior High school years). They are my favorites because each of the main characters are female, and they both are very independent, strong characters finding adventure and making their life out to what they want it to be – which is something I strive to do with my own life.

Favorite Movie:
Again, I have many movies that I love, but I think one of my favorites is the movie Last Holiday. The main character is Queen Latifah and she discovers she has a terminal illness that gives her only a few weeks to live, and she decided to make the best of those last few weeks. She takes her book of possibilities and goes out to make them realities before her time is finished. (I didn’t ruin the movie because there’s a twist at the end! Please watch!) But this movie has inspired me to make a book of possibilities and then hopefully make them realities one day! :)

Favorite TV Show:
The only TV show I watch religiously is The Vampire Diaries. I love it to pieces. I will admit that the main reason I watch the show is because of all the attractive men!

Favorite Musician/Band:
Hmm, I’m really not picky with music. The only thing I won’t listen to is death metal, scream-o stuff. A couple of my favorite musicians/bands are Maroon 5, Lee Dewyze, Billy Joel, Styx, etc. There’s really far too many to list, but there was a new song I discovered called “Hey Pretty Girl” by Kip Moore (it’s a country song, sorry for those of you who don’t like country). It’s a super cute song worth looking up. :)

Favorite Food:
My favorite food itself is salmon. But I really enjoy Chinese and Japanese food. :)

What are you up to when you’re not in class?
I work for the Phonathon, and I work outside of school at Sam’s Club in the bakery. I really don’t have too many extracurricular activities because I am struggling to juggle my 20 credits this semester and my job. I do go to a Bible study on Monday evenings at First Trinity Lutheran Church (any Lutherans, other Christians, or ANYONE interested is welcome to join! I’m also looking to start a Luther Student Fellowship at the school, and could use some help getting it started!)

Perfect Friday Night:
My perfect Friday night is spending time with my family or catching up and hanging out with friends.

Favorite Thing About Fall:
My absolute favorite thing about fall is all of the pretty leaves (minus the part where you have to rake them up!). I also love the fact that it’s perfect weather for a sweater/sweatshirt and jeans. :)

You get to go anywhere on an all-expenses-paid vacation. Where do you go?
Anywhere! I would just love to explore and travel, doesn’t matter where!

Favorite Quote:
I have two favorite quotes :)

–“I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”
~ Marilyn Monroe

–“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” ~ Dr. Seuss

Dream Job:
I wish I knew! I’ve changed my mind a million times and now I have no clue what it is I would like to do. I’m still deciding :)

Favorite Thing About Being a Chatham Woman:
I love feeling like part of a big family with all of the other lovely ladies on campus. We share so many great opportunities and amazing professors to help guide us. It’s a really great experience that many other places don’t have.
