Planned Parenthood has been a hot topic of conversation in the last few weeks due to it’s defunding by the United State’s government. However, it seems that the reaction from women and men across the nation is the only reason that it has made headlines.
For over 100 years, this organization has been a trusted provider for “up-to-date, clear, medically accurate information” that aids women in better understandng their sexual well-being. From abortion to body image to general healthcare, women (and men too!) have found a safety net with Planned Parenthood.
So why was this accessible, affordable option for so many Americans so easily dismissed when it came to government financial support?
