Sometimes basic is a good thing, like cotton t-shirts or vanilla bean ice cream, but not for Halloween costumes. With the school year in full swing and midterms coming up, finding a costume that matches your kickass, sweet, or sultry side can be the last thing on your mind. The idea of throwing on a tight black dress and a pair of ears can be a relief – we’ve all been there. Remember when the whole month of October was dedicated to preplanning Halloween like carving pumpkins and watching Hocus Pocus? Now I’m not saying go out and trick-or-treat like you’re seven again (or in my case- fourteen), but remember the excitement this holiday used to bring and maybe you’ll feel inspired to break out your creativity this year and not fall privy to these basic Halloween costumes.
