College students have two families: the one they have to say goodbye to at the beginning of each year, and the one they live with for two semesters on the Hill. Just like family dinners at home, family dinners at school can be store-bought or homemade. Regardless of how it’s prepared, though, what’s most important is who is around the dinner table (or dining hall table) to share it with. Tonight’s dinner: Thai chicken stir-fry and fried rice.

Prepping the chicken breasts, ginger, scallions, carrots and bell peppers.

Mixing the chicken pieces in the delicious peanut sauce. (No mixing spoon required!).

Checking the chicken as it bakes to make sure it doesn’t burn. As it turns out, too many cooks in the kitchen doesn’t spoil the soup.

Finishing up the fried rice (sans-recipe) and the stir-fry. You’re officially a domestic goddess.
