This week’s campus cutie is a catch by any standard. As a sophomore chemistry major here at UNC, most of his time is occupied with hitting the books, but when he does have free time he enjoys hanging out with friends and playing basketball. This young man is determined to make an impact on the earth by becoming a pharmacist and hopefully helping provide medicine for people in impoverished countries. He’s a laid-back guy, who looks for a girl he can connect with on more than a physical level.

Her Campus: What music do you like to listen to?
Chase Weddington: I prefer to listen to R&B or hip-hop, but if it sounds good I’ll listen to it, regardless of the genre.

HC: What do you do in your free time?
CW: Every blue moon that I do find free time, I will go to the gym and play basketball or just spend time socializing with friends.

HC: What are your interests?
CW: I’m interested in sports (specifically basketball), music, clothes, and science. I love to see how things work and why they work in that manner.

HC: What is your dream first date?
CW: My dream first date would be to take a young lady atop a hill during the night to gaze at the stars and the moon while having a picnic-style dinner.

HC: What do you look for in a girl?
CW: Physical attractiveness plays a role in it, but I really look for a girl who I can exchange laughs with and who can feel comfortable around me. She has to be my best friend before she becomes my girlfriend.

HC: What are your turn-offs?
CW: Bad hygiene, aggravation and/or childishness

HC: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why?
CW: I would travel to Hawaii to enjoy the beach and the tropical weather.

HC: What do you want to do in the future?
CW: I want to move somewhere away from North Carolina to work  as a pharmacist.
