Campus Celebrity: Kiaro Holts

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapel Hill chapter.

When the 6’5 offensive tackle isn’t protecting the quarterback on game day, you can find sophomore Kiaro Holts either in the Undergraduate Library studying or in his room watching Netflix. The Communications major from Indiana fell in love with UNC’s diversity and friendly student body. Not to mention, Kiaro has found his place with the brotherhood of UNC football. “It’s really comforting to know that I am a part of a brotherhood that will last my whole life,” Kiaro said. Football is more than just putting on the Carolina Blue jersey on game days for Kiaro, though. It’s a challenge to become a better person and to do something positive during his stay at Carolina.

However, this athlete does not strictly limit his time to the stadium. When he isn’t running drills on the turf, he is socializing with friends and spends time fishing. As evident from his answers above, Kiaro is sold on UNC and all of it’s Carolina blue and white glory. His favorite spot on campus (besides Kenan Stadium) is the quiet and peaceful Undergraduate Library. Kiaro’s goals after graduation are to one day manage his own business, preferably a restaurant.

So what does this 6’5” Carolina boy look for in a lady? Kiaro says that his favorite thing about beautiful, bright Carolina girls is our hard working spirit and our fashion sense. It doesn’t hurt that we are classy and know a little about pigskin, does it?

Although Kiaro was secretive about his plans for Valentine’s Day, he did say that the best gift he’s ever received was a five foot bear. How cute!

Be sure to say hello to our campus celebrity if you see him around campus, and cheer for him when he’s out on the field!
