This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CCCU chapter.

Name: Ed HodsdonHome town: Deal, KentWhere do you live now: Deal, KentDegree: Creative WritingYear of Graduation: 2015Single: Not single

FavouritesFood: The Burger Brothers RestaurantBand: DisturbedTV show: True DetectiveFilm: The Dark KnightBook: Storm Front by Jim ButcherSports: I am a very big NFL fan and I support the New England Patriots.

What do you hope the future holds?I hope to be in the writing industry as a sports journalist. Also I hope to have written some novels.

Who inspired you?I don’t think any one person inspired me. However people giving me the tools to have the confidence in my passion and talent to write helped a lot.

So we hear you have just release a new book, can you tell us about it?It’s a novel called After Us that is a collaboration with four authors. I really enjoyed co-writing this book with Melissa Holden and Lorna Holland. It’s a collection of short stories based around the end of the world.

You also appeared on the cover with fellow author Lorna Holland! What was like to shoot?I had never done something like that before but I really enjoyed it. The photographer was making us laugh when we had to be serious so it was very funny and a fun experience. I also had to use a toy gun which was weird.

How do you feel about graduating next year?Nervous but excited about the next chapter in my life.

Do you have any advice for the first years and other students?Know what course and path you want for your life before you jump into things. Don’t be scared to take time to realise what you want to do.

Thankyou so much Ed! Any suggestions for Campus Cutie? Then send them to us @HerCampusCCCU!

Ashleigh is 21 and is currently in her second year at Canterbury Christ Church University.
