Believe it or not, the way you shop can tell a lot about the type of person you are! After long hours of research (going shopping with my friends) and surveying my co-workers, I’ve found that there are five different types of shoppers!

1. The Specifist

You know exactly what it is that you’re looking for, what your style is, and no one can deter you from that! Most retail salespeople can appreciate that; it makes their job a little easier. You’re definitely the “in & out” person!

You’re the one to get the job done! Your friends may often look to you for advice and help during a crisis. I wouldn’t doubt that people often describe you as organized and good with time management! You’re a pretty well-rounded person with a good head on your shoulders.

2. The Adventurer

You’re every retail salesperson’s favorite customer! You’re open to new things and willing to try on just about anything that’s thrown into the fitting room.

You’re outgoing and fun! You’re definetly the go-to person when your friends are looking for a new style! You take advantage of every opportunity given to you and make it worth your while!

3. The Indecisive One

You’re never 100% on what it is you want. That last dress just doesn’t fit as well as the other one, but the other one has the deep V- neck you love, and the first dress is okay, but it just doesn’t have that “umph” you were looking for so you’re left sobbing in the fitting room wondering why the world hates you so much.

You see the good in everything. You like to compare and contrast… even if it takes you forever! You make sure that everything has been analyzed and put into proper consideration! Also, even though you’re not too good at making the final decision, your freinds definitelty appreciate the fact that you think they look good in everything they try on!

4. The Addition-er

“I’m only going in here for ONE THING!” is your favorite lie to tell and all of your friends know it! No matter what store you’re in you always come out with a million and one bags full of random things. Then, when you get home, you probably don’t even remember picking some of the clothes out!

Although you probably aren’t the best with time management, you’re creative. You see the poteintial in everything that catches your eye and some way, some how, you figure out how it will work for you later on down the line.

5. The Window Shopper

Although the term “window shopper” has obtained a negative connotation, it’s really not that bad. We all have window shopped before. Personally, there’s nothing wrong with going into a store just to see what they have.

You’re great with budgeting and staying on track. Although some may not appreciate your “talent”, you know what is, how to, and when to make the best move. Patience is a virtue, one that not many have acquired, especially when it comes down to spending! Kuddos to you my friend!

Greetings! My name is Jelyn A. Andrews, but some people know me as my radio name “Jelyn Rocque (Rock).” I am from the BEST CITY IN THE WORLD, Chicago, IL! I was born on January 16, so that makes me a Capricorn. I am a junior Mass Media Arts major with a concentration in Radio/TV/Film.My career goal is to become a television host, then eventually own a television network...Yes, just like Oprah! :) In addition to being a “natural born hustler”, I am a very independent, opinionated and expressive person; I think it’s safe to say that I am also a socialite and that I am the stereotypical Capricorn (if you believe in that stuff). I live by two quotes: my tattoo, “Per aspera ad astra” which is Latin for “Through hardships to the stars” and “Don’t tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.” During my spare time I enjoy working out, shopping, writing poetry, reading, and, most of all, going on “adventures” (i.e. trying out new restaurants, visiting museums, going to art shows, and attending concerts). I hope you enjoy reading my articles! -Jelyn
