I’m sure many of you all struggle from dry skin every once in a while, or you want to maintain gorgeous, smooth, glowing skin. I, for one, not only try to keep my skin healthy and glowing, but I also try to keep it as moisturized as possible. I suffer from an extremely bad case of eczema, and sometimes flare-ups can be an absolute disaster! Dryness, redness, and texture is not the look that makes me feel my best. Besides looking my worse, I feel my worse as well. For years, I have struggled with finding the best products that work well for my skin. Here are a few products I’ve tried to help me maintain healthy, supple skin.

Olay Ultra Moisture Shea Butter Body Wash

Shea Butter Baby! This product has been absolutely life-changing. Its key ingredients are shea butter, which is perfect for melanin queens, and vitamin B3 complex. Shea butter has always been known to moisturize and nourish the skin, and the vitamin B3 complex helps to hydrate the skin better than regular soaps. It feels as though you are applying lotion, but its a body wash! I can definitely feel this body wash nourishing and locking in the moisture as I use it.

St. Ives Gentle Smoothing Oatmeal Scrub and Mask

Oatmeal is the key to smooth skin! With my skin being so dry, I noticed a lot of texture on my face. This was also helpful with getting my skin on the right track because it was not as harsh as other cleansers. It most definitely exfoliates, however, it exfoliates from a more gentle approach. The honey and oatmeal that this product has contributes to helping the skin stay smooth with its calming properties. This scrub also contains walnut shell powder. This key ingredient helps buff away dead skin in the most gentle, yet effective, way. I noticed a difference within a week!

Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream

This particular product was specifically for attacking my dry skin directly. Like other products used for drying skin, it contains colloidal oatmeal. By applying this directly, this product helped my skin form its own protective functions. It also helped with reducing itching and the irritation of eczema. Within two days, I could tell the difference with how much I had been itching. Upon applying this product, I instantly felt relief. It helps lock in moisture throughout the day without having to reapply the product. For those who have eczema, this product is mostly effective for mild to moderate cases. Also, it not only works for those with eczema or eczema-prone skin; it is useful for those who simply have dry skin as well.

All of these products have made my skin feel so much better. There is no greater satisfaction than knowing you are taking care of yourself properly. Another great thing about these products is that they are all affordable! I can always find them at my local drugstore or grocery store for a reasonable price. By using these products, users are bound to have great skin for the right price. Remember self-love is the best kind of love!
