With 104 points, Charles Leclerc is the leading pilot in the Drivers Championship. He was only out of the podium out of the five races this season once. At the Bahrain Grand Prix, he started in pole position and took the win. At the Jeddah circuit, he went to the podium in the second position. In Australia, he also started on the pole and took the win. And at the last race, the Miami Grand Prix, he started on pole but finished in second place. Ferrari is also first in the Constructors’ Championship, by a 6-point advantage.

In the 2021 Championship, Ferrari started showing signs of improvement after their worst year in Formula 1 in 2020, they hadn’t experienced something like that for 40 years. They came in third in the 2021 Constructor’s Championship. While in the Drivers’ Championship, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc came in the fifth and seventh positions. The scenario for 2022 is promising and Ferrari is all in for the challenge and in search of the first title of Charles Leclerc.

But now he is in for a big fight with the reigning champion, Max Verstappen, he won the races that Leclerc didn’t. And on track we can always see them disputing places, it seems to be that it’s going to be the dispute of the year until now. They have run together before, their story goes back to the karting days, that’s one of the reasons the Formula 1 fan believe it will make this dispute very playful and respectful.

The last race took place in Spain, on May 22, it was a track where Ferrari hoped to win and have both pilots on the podium since it’s Carlos Sainz’s home. Unfortunately, that was not possible, due to a power failure in Charles’ car and bad luck from the Spaniard driver. The next race that comes will be in Monaco, Leclerc’s home country, with their famous street circuit, where Ferrari hopes he takes first place.
