Arts and Crafts: Valentine’s Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal State LA chapter.

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and love is in the air. Decorating will surely make you get in the Valentine’s Day mood.  Show your room some love by decorating it with these simple and inexpensive ideas. Many of the materials that were used were purchased at the 99 Cent Store.

  1. Heart Tree

Create a tree of love. Purchase branches from the craft store and glue hearts on them. You can also attach pictures of people you love on the tree. Place them on a vase and tie a bow.

  1. Cupid arrows.

Get your arrows ready! Grab some shish kabobs sticks. Glue on some hearts at the bottom to serve as the arrow heads. With paper create the arrow fletching. Feathers can also serve as the arrow fletching. Place the arrows in a jar.

  1. Pom Pom Garland

Grab a piece of twine or ribbon and with your glue gun glue on the pom poms. Hang it around your bed or bookshelves.

  1. Dollies

Dollies are simple yet so elegant. Tape a few of them to the wall and create a simple statement wall.
