Spring Is Almost Here: Fashion Trends To Start Getting Excited For

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cabrini chapter.

Goodbye snow and 30 degree temperatures, hello spring fashion! As the mornings get warmer, it is time to start stowing away the heavy sweaters and sweatpants you have been hiding in all winter because let’s face it, dressing cute is hard when the distance from your bed to your 9 a.m. lecture is a frozen tundra. Spring fashion is all about being flirty and fun because you’ve got a case of spring fever.

Skater skirts

You can feel cute, fun, and flirty! They look good with heels, booties or sneakers.

Cute light jackets

Goodbye big puffy coats, hello little jackets that add to your ensemble rather than hide it. Denim, blazers, and leather jackets will keep you comfy when there’s a breeze while keeping you on trend.

Dresses

The perfect way to show that you have your life together, or at least pretend that you do. But secretly you just didn’t feel like wearing pants.

Shorts

You can finally show off your legs again in the warm weather. Styles from high-waisted to classic denim add variety to your closet.

Wedges

It doesn’t have to be a special occasion for heels. Graduations, picnics and outdoor parties will be here before you know it. Wedges add the right amount of sophistication to any outfit from flirty dresses to a classy shorts ensemble.

Boho pants

They’re basically pajama pants that are socially acceptable to wear in public. They’re super comfy and always pair well with solid-colored tops.

Crop tops

A fabulous way to show off how far you’ve come in your New Year’s resolution (if you stuck to it).

Maxi skirts/dresses

Maybe you just didn’t feel like shaving the night before. No worries because the length has got you covered (no pun intended).

Flower crowns

Music festivals and outdoor concerts are a large part of the warm weather months. This fashion statement can be seen on almost every woman jamming out to the music.

Sunglasses

The styles are endless and there is a pair to go with any outfit or mood you’re in.
