Happy fall y’all! Even though it may not feel like fall just yet here in Charleston, the vibes are all here in this playlist. The perfect amount of fall is composed into this playlist of the best acoustic and folk songs for a cool day. The vibes consist of watching the sunset on a mountain top, a rainy drive on a highway covered in red, yellow, and brown trees; and maybe even a pumpkin spice latte. Who knows, you may find yourself walking to Starbucks after listening to grab yourself one!

Bloom-The Paper Kites

Although the title of this song is “Bloom” which gives off major Spring vibes, this song is ideal for a slow Sunday morning in fall. I love how soft and airy the melody is which is perfect for when you are just getting out of bed.

Ends of the Earth-Lord Huron

I have been obsessed with this song lately. I cannot seem to get it out of my head, and that is most definitely due to the hopeless romantic in me. Play this song on a sunny fall day when you are feeling adventurous and full of love :)

Old Pine-Ben Howard

I’m not sure if you can physically make an acoustic playlist without a Ben Howard song, and if you have, there is something definitely missing. “Old Pine” is such a classic that delivers all of the feels, which is a whole mood for a gloomy, fall day.

Mountain Song- Little Chief

Yes, the title in this song consists of the word mountain. And did I add this to the playlist just because of that? Maybe. I randomly came across this during one of my deep dives through Spotify and I can’t get enough of it. The folk style of this song is immaculate and is ideal for listening to on a sunny fall morning with a hot coffee in hand—yes, it has to be pumpkin spice.

Roslyn-Bon IveR & ST. Vincent

“Roslyn” = Twilight. Twilight = Fall. The best equation, in my opinion. “Roslyn” is the song that you listen to when you are down bad and deep in your feels. Will this song make you feel better? Not necessarily; but, it fits flawlessly with the rainy fall aesthetic, so pretend you are listening to this in Forks, Washington with Edward Cullen by your side, cause I know that makes me feel better.

From Eden-Hozier

My absolute favorite song on this playlist! Again, like Ben Howard, you absolutely cannot exclude Hozier from an acoustic, folk playlist. This song is so incredibly catchy and I honestly haven’t stopped singing it since eighth grade—I’m genuinely not kidding about this! If you have not listened to this song before or any of Hozier’s songs, you need to immediately.

 Next To You-John Vincent III

This song is another one of my finds from a deep Spotify search, but I am so glad I found it. It’s about going on constant adventures with someone that you love. It gives me very Western folk vibes and I’m living for it.

Shoutout to my mom for inspiring the next two songs ;)

All The Pretty Girls-KALEO

Icelandic rock band KALEO has the most amazing voices. I love this song because it is very tranquil and calming; however, at the same time, I just wanna scream out the lyrics—especially towards the ending. It is a very therapeutic song, to say the least!

I See Fire-Ed Sheeran

Personally, this is one of my favorite Ed Sheeran songs as it is very calming and different from a lot of his other songs as they are more upbeat and poppy. This is the type of song that I imagine listening to on a hike or drive in the mountains.

Vagabond-Caamp

If you have never listened to Caamp before, I suggest that you get on that right away. Their folk songs make you want to get outside and wander around in nature, or even plan a spontaneous road trip out West. Very fitting for an acoustic playlist!
