Your 5-Step Last-Minute Spring Break Preparation Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Back in December, your friends and booked your plans for spring break. You were excited about it then, but kind of forgot about it. Now, spring break is closer than you think and you haven’t even begun to prepare. What do you do?

Spring Break starts next Saturday, and if you haven’t started preparing for it, look no further. I have the perfect 5-step plan to get you ready for a fabulous week off from school!

  1. Tan. Obviously, you can’t get to your destination without a little bit of color, so start baking under the UV lights. I suggest going for a Snooki or Sammi Sweetheart tan. When you get to your spring break spot, you’ll fit in with all the people who already live there. Then, you’ll be more likely to get all the boys! I mean, isn’t that the purpose of this break?
  2. Build up your alcohol tolerance. Let’s face it. You don’t party hardly enough at school, but you and your friends are probably going to get a bit wild during spring break. From now until the coveted March 8th, I suggest you learn how to stomach a lot of alcohol. Day by day, drink a little more so when it’s time to leave, you are all set. Think about it, then you won’t have to worry about getting sick in front of people you don’t know.
  3. Cut off any and all relationships. Even if it’s just a friends-with-benefits thing, make sure you have no ties with anyone before heading out for break. You don’t want things getting awkward when you get back to campus…
  4. Master an accent. Many boys do this on their spring break trip. A “British” guy is irresistible, so I see where they’re coming from. But, girls can do it too. A Russian girl is always the sexiest, and every boy wants to say they hooked up with a foreign chick.
  5. Workout. This is a no brainer. You need to look toned, sculpted and sexy for break. If you haven’t already started, I suggest eating clean and working out vigorously from now until next Saturday. That way your bikini looks flawless, and you attract all the boys’ (and maybe even some envious girls’) attention!

So there you have it: a complete last-minute preparation guide to get you ready for the best spring break this year! Follow it, and I’m sure you’ll have the time of you life.(Also, take it with a grain of salt—or a lot of grains—because this guide should not actually be taken seriously.)
