Words and Phrases Ruined by Hamilton

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

We’ve all heard the songs and memorized the lyrics, but sometimes it can go a little too far…

 Satisfied

“Are you satisfied?” “Wasn’t that meal just so satisfying?” Let me guess, you just realized three fundamental truths at the exact same time?

Just you wait.

For my roommates and myself, this seems to come up when watching television shows. “Oh my god, I can’t believe that just happened!” “Oh, just you wait!”

It must be nice.

We can’t all have Washington on our side, but it would be nice, right?

What did I miss?

*goes to the bathroom during a commercial* “Wait, guys! What did I miss?”

Look around.

“Have you seen my glasses?” “I don’t know, look around!” AT HOW LUCKY WE ARE TO BE ALIVE RIGHT NOW!

Take a break.

This phrase gets its prime usage in regards to school work. “TAKE A BREAK!” You know you want to!

I know him.

THAT CAN’T BE!

I wish you all the best in trying to get tickets!
