The next few months promise to be a bittersweet time for book lovers. Many exciting novels are being released, but many of these books are also the ends of beloved series. Personally, I know I’m beyond excited to get my hands on these novels! They promise exciting twists, gorgeous covers, but also the last chapters of some of my favorite series. There are so many exciting releases just around the corner that I couldn’t list all of them! Here are a few of the most hyped YA novels soon-to-be-released.

1. Finale by Stephanie Garber

The Caraval series has become a fast favorite across the bookish community. Garber launches you into a magical world, where everything is surely not what it seems and tricks lie around each corner. The two protagonists are sisters, and even in this hectic world, romance is also able to be found. The first book and the sequel were told from the perspective of one sister each, and the final book in the trilogy is from the perspective of both sisters. Look out for Finale May 7, 2019.

2. Five Dark Fates by Kendare Blake

Kendare Blake is also one of my favorite authors. She has written the extremely popular Three Dark Crowns series that whisks the reader into a world filled with magic, but one also filled with death. The three main characters are all sisters with unique powers, but only one may become queen. As the series continues on, the reader finds that no one can truly be trusted. This book is beautiful and heart wrenching, and the final novel comes out September 3, 2019.

3. Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco

The Audrey Rose series begins with Stalking Jack the Ripper, which follows a young female adult with a love for forensics. The books take place during the Victorian era, and are mystery gothic novels that lean a bit towards thrillers. There’s an extremely cute love interest for Audrey Rose, Thomas, who also loves science. However, as a man, his passion is frowned upon less. Audrey Rose works both to make her place in a world where men are on top, while attempting to both solve murder mysteries and deal with her feelings for Thomas. The final book comes out September 9, 2019.

4. Kingsbane by Claire Legrand

Set in a futuristic, fantastical world, The Empirium Trilogy follows a female who seriously knows how to kick butt. She works as an assassin to feed her family, but when a mission goes awry, her life is sure to change. The novel flips back and forth between a “crazy” queen from years ago to the assassin. Their lives are more intertwined than one may think. A story mixed with magic, futuristic elements, and a powerful female, this one is sure to please. Expect the sequel on May 21, 2019.

5. Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi

I personally have not read her Shatter Me series, but I had to include it in this list because it’s a favorite to many. I have read another one of her books and adored her beautiful writing style, so I plan to pick up this series very soon. This series is an extremely loved dystopian novel, and many eagerly await its arrival on April 2, 2019.

My bank account is definitely going to take a hit from all of the novels I’m planning on picking up in the upcoming months! Get reading…
