Confused about all of these notifications about “senior week,” “senior month,” and “commencement weekend”? Yeah, so are the rest of us. So I’ve put together a guide of the things you really need to know about.

Senior Semester started at the beginning of the semester with the 121 Days to Graduation Party and continues up until Senior Week. Events during Senior Month include a trip to Foxwoods Casino, The Back Bay Ball, the 50 Days to Graduation party, and a Red Sox game. These tickets are sold individually and can be bought here.

Senior Week is the week between finals and graduation, and it is packed full of fun events. These events include the Paradise Rock Club dance party, a trip to Six Flags, a House of Blues Concert, the Harbor Cruise, and a trip to Harpoon—as well as a few others. Prices to these events vary, but will cost you a pretty penny. If you plan on going to more than a few, you might want to consider purchasing the all access pass, which is $150 and includes all events this week (except you have to choose between Harpoon and the Harbor cruise as they happen on the same night). The pass can be bought here.

Commencement Weekend (also called ‘Closing Events’) is, obviously, the weekend of graduation. These events are geared more towards families—and they’re great things to take your parents to while they’re in town. This includes a champagne reception on Friday evening, boat tours on Saturday afternoon, The Night at the Pops, a dinner, and a comedy show. These tickets are purchased individually and can be purchased for family members or friends as well.
