10 Reasons You’ll Miss Your Roommate Over Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

With our five week winter break about to begin, everyone is beyond excited to go home. No classes, no homework, and no community showers! While this may sound like the perfect way to spend the next month, Her Campus has 10 reasons that you’re going to miss your roommate over break.

  1. Not having a reason to keep your room clean…or in some cases, not having someone to clean your room for you

  2. Having only one closet to choose from is a real struggle

  3. No one is there to rationalize your daily crazy thoughts

  4. You don’t have anyone to approve your outfit choice

  5. Dancing on tables with yourself is frowned upon

  6. You’re missing someone to reassure you that drinking any night of the week is okay

  7. Your mom doesn’t appreciate shot-gunning beers in the kitchen

  8. You aren’t waking up to someone just as miserable as you are every morning

  9. You have no one to tuck you in and turn the lights off every night

  10. Pillow talk with your cat just doesn’t cut it

While this  upcoming separation may seem daunting, there’s no need for you collegiettes to worry. You’ll be reunited with your roommate next semester before the separation anxiety even has time to set it!
