You can either to this 2-minute bath with a partner to help! Or try it yourself if you’re a brave soul!
Starting the Bath
Use a basin, sink or tub depending on the size of your kitty.
Make sure the water is hot, but not scalding! If the water is too cold they will shiver which would make them vulnerable to getting sick. Plus, no one likes a cold bath.
Prepping the Shampoo
Fill your designated bathing area with 2-4 inches of water, just enough to get their paws wet. There is no need to fill it very high at all. Add about a quarter size amount of shampoo to a wet washcloth.
Be Gentle With Their Head
It’s best to just avoid the head altogether. Never get a kitty’s ears wet! If they get wet, dry them out immediately. Thier ears are sensitive and can be damaged easily. You can place cotton balls in their ears if your really need to.
Wash Their Back
The main goal is to shampoo their back since it is the largest area. Hold them just above the water and slowly ease them in. Wash their back with the washcloth and rinse. The prime time to give them a bath is when they are shedding their coat.
Towel Time
Wrap your kitty in a towel! If they don’t like towels, just pet them with the towel. You could also try using a hairdryer. Although, due to the loud high pitched sound, they may not like it.
Yay! Treats!
Of course, reward your kitty with their favorite treat (before and after if your like)! Whether it is wet food or a simple treat, and it will most definitely go a long way. Overall, make sure the experience is positive for both of you by whatever means necessary.
