Meet Lindsay Embrick

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brenau chapter.

It seemed like yesterday Lindsay Embrick was just starting her career her at Brenau University and now she is a senior and has a bright future ahead of her. She is also a dedicated, hardworking, and a convincing young woman anyone would want to meet.

Lindsay, I want to first start off with the basics.

Can I have your full name please?

“Lindsay Paige Embrick”

How old are you?

“I am 22 years old.”

What is your major?

“My major is Conflict Resolution and Legal Studies with a minor in Psychology.”

What activities/organizations do you participate in?

“I have participated in the Competition Cheerleading squad all 4 years and I am the president of Brenau Association of Mediators and Legal Scholars (BAMALS).”

With graduation coming up and your schedule becoming the most hectic at this time, how are you feeling at this point?

“There is no doubt that this is the most hectic of all years! I am super excited for what is in store and I know that the work will be worth it. Between school, work, and cheerleading as well as having a life outside of this all, it can be quite hard to manage. Time management is one of the most important things that has helped me through this year.”

What will you miss most about Brenau and why?

“I will miss how tight knit and close my peers and I were. The class sizes are so small at Brenau you create an amazing bond with those that surround you.”

You obviously had a lot of experience here at Brenau, so what piece of advice would you leave behind for the upcoming, and new students?

“This has been the fastest and most important start to the rest of my life. I would say to those remaining and the new students to enjoy it because it will be over faster than they know it.”

What are your future plans after you obtain your Bachelor’s degree?

“I plan to go to Law School at Georgia State or John Marshall and obtain a Law Degree focusing on Criminal Law.”

People who have known you for a while know that you are a smart, beautiful, and strong, how do you plan on using your personality and character in your future endeavors?

“Brenau has definitely helped shape me into who I am today. I don’t believe in using physical aspects to my advantage, but I definitely hope that my desire and passion for law as well as my knowledge will provide guidance towards my future endeavors.”

I understand that you have a special companion, is he very supportive of your goals and decisions?

“He is the most supportive! He believes in me and everything I do. He supports any decision I make and wants to see me accomplish all of my goals.”

Are there any last special remarks to any of our staff or students at Brenau that you would like to say to them before graduation?

“Those professors that have worked so closely with me for the last four years have made a lasting impression on me. Dr. Frank especially has guided me through every hardship and decision I have sprung on him. Without his help I definitely would have accomplished the things I have thus far.”

Thanks Lindsay for being so patient and taking the time out to answer my consistent questions.

It is bittersweet to see a woman who represents the Brenau Ideal finally refining her gold by fire. Congratulations to Lindsay Embrick and to all her accomplishments in the future.
