The Waltham Farmer’s Market

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

The Waltham Farmers Market is open for another 6 weeks (until November 10th). The market takes place every Saturday from 9:30am-2:30pm. I bike along the beautiful bike path next to the Charles River (a wonderful way to wakeup). Options for transportation: the BranVan could easily take you there and back, renting a deis-bike or borrowing a friend’s is a great option (~10 minute ride), or a nice 25-minute walk are all great options. I load up on produce and have a few favorites as well: the fresh pasta stand (I always get broccoli + provolone ravioli), the eggs and cheese stand (farm fresh eggs! local!), maple sugar spread (words cannot describe. Put it in greek yogurt and you will die), and kale, carrots, bok choy, apples, peppers are all on my weekly list. Check this site for more info: http://walthamfarmersmarket.org/

Andrea is a sociology major with minors in journalism and women's and gender studies. She is currently finishing her senior year at Brandeis University. She was born and reared in Los Angeles, CA, which does mean that she is a die-hard Laker fan… Sorry Bostonians. When Andrea is not routing on her favorite basketball team, she dedicates her time to her many passions. They include reading and writing about fashion, traveling, exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends, watching reality television (she has a weak spot for Bravo), shopping, and working out.
