Valentine’s Day Nails

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

For these nails, you’ll need a basic French color, maybe one with a pink tint. I used Essie’s ballet slippers. After you apply a base coat, put a coat of your light French color on every nail. Next, use a red glitter to make French tips on every nail. After that, use bigger pink glitter (I used Essie’s a cut above) to put one coat on each nail, starting halfway down. Last, use a thin-brushed red polish to paint a heart on the top right corner of your ring finger. Then your Valentine’s Day look is complete!

For these nails, you’ll need white, red, pink, red glitter, and pink glitter nail polish to start. Paint your thumb white, your pointer red, your middle finger red glitter, your ring finger pink, and your pinky pink glitter. Next you’ll need pink, red, and white thin-brushed polish. Draw a pink heart on your thumb, pink and white stripes on your pointer, and red polka dots on your ring finger. It’s easy as that!

Andrea is a sociology major with minors in journalism and women's and gender studies. She is currently finishing her senior year at Brandeis University. She was born and reared in Los Angeles, CA, which does mean that she is a die-hard Laker fan… Sorry Bostonians. When Andrea is not routing on her favorite basketball team, she dedicates her time to her many passions. They include reading and writing about fashion, traveling, exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends, watching reality television (she has a weak spot for Bravo), shopping, and working out.
